Per the “bing” dictionary, the word TEAM is defined as “cooperatively functioning group: a number of people organized to function cooperatively as a group.” “The” Team of Bonnie, Maureen & Kelly epitomizes this definition.
Literally, if there is a schedule conflict with one member, another member can and will step right in to cover without missing a beat. Several years ago, I was headed to Frederick with a client to look at condos. My husband called me from the hospital, telling me he was waiting for a helicopter to take him to Washington Heart Center for surgery. When you get a phone call like this, it doesn’t register right away -so thank goodness my client had a clear head and told me I needed to go directly to the hospital, not show her condos then go! One call to my teammate, Kelly, and she intercepted us, picked up my client, sent Me to the hospital and took the client on to see the condos. Not a beat missed.
This is the reality of being a member on our team: Each member can step in for the other and take care of the business at hand. At the drop of a hat.
It is a combination of commitment, compatibility and respect for each other and our profession. We each have our own distinct personalities, but there is a definite meeting of minds on how we conduct our business and the importance of making sure our clients’ needs are met.
When you are interviewing an agent to assist you in the sale of your home or the purchase of a new home, ask if they work on a team and if so, how the team functions. In today’s world of buyers and sellers needing-to-know-now, there is no better way to make sure you’re covered. Team work really works, especially with our Team!
